Gladesville Kitchen Renovation

Project Overview

Project Overview

The Client Brief

The client seeks to transform their old timber kitchen into a modern Hamptons-style kitchen. They envision a bright, airy room with a clean, minimalist design that incorporates a mix of modern and traditional features. The new kitchen should feature high-quality, integrated appliances and ample storage solutions. The colour scheme should be predominantly black and white, with accents of grey/blue veins in the stone, and the lighting should be strategically placed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The overall goal is to achieve a timeless, sophisticated look that is both functional and stylish.

The Challenge

The existing kitchen in the client’s Gladesville home was outdated and lacked functionality. The challenge was creating a new kitchen design with a huge pantry, appliance benchtop area and reduce the corners which are difficult to access. The client desired a new kitchen that would not only address these issues but also align with their home style and provide a more efficient/enjoyable cooking and dining experience for the whole family.

The Design Solution

Kitchenkraft proposed a new U shape design with a galley design for the pantry/appliance area. An attached island was proposed to open up the room and create a breakfast bar seating area. This proposal reduced corners, concealed appliances and allowed a huge accessible pantry with scooped shelves and BLUM internal drawers.

The Result

The result of the kitchen renovation at Gladesville exceeded the client’s expectations. They now have a modern and functional kitchen with ample storage and practical features, seating bench and high-end integrated appliances. The sleek design and high-quality finishes have transformed the space, and the clients are thrilled with their new kitchen, which perfectly aligns with their aesthetic preferences of their home. Overall, the renovation successfully combined modern elements with classic shaker style to create a beautiful and functional kitchen.

The Polyurethane Black Shaker doors provide a sleek and modern look to the kitchen, while also being durable and easy to clean. The Talostone Calacatta Luxe Benchtops and Splashbacks offer a luxurious appearance to the space, adding a touch of elegance to the overall design. Additionally, these surfaces are heat-resistant and non-porous, making them ideal for cooking and food preparation.
