A unique kitchen in Sydney. Early planning contributed significantly to the success of this kitchen installation. Kitchenkraft became involved in the planning of the whole room in terms of window size and window placement. This created a balanced outcome in appearance and incorporated a variety of appliances to meet the customers needs. The main features were- Refrigeration. Instead of purchasing a very large or pigeon pair refrigerators we installed addition refrigerator capacity by intergrating a freezer ( Liebherr) underneath the bench top . Additional crisper space was provided with two large integrated drawers (Scoltes) again underneath the bench space. These decisions provided a huge refrigerator and freezer capacity without the need for large boxy structures. Dishwashing. We incorporated 2 Fisher and Paykel dishwasher drawers and a Siemens integrated unit to provide huge cleaning capacity. Besides the benefit during entertaining it allows one unit to be washing whilst the other unit can be stacked. Sink and taps. Undermount sinks were selected for a streamlined bench top. Double bowls with a garbage disposal unit underneath were placed in the central work area of the kitchen whilst a single bowl was placed to the side. The single bowl and tap allowed for a Zip water unit providing chilled, sparkling and boiled filtered water instantly. This eliminated a need for a jug and its cords to be needed. Breakfast and seating. The island breakfast bar allowed sufficient seating, even allowing visitors or the family to sit at right angles for more convenient interaction. The central island provided a huge amount of bench space. Food Storage. The large pantry with a system of pull out drawers allows convenient and quick access to the products stored. Large drawers throughout the kitchen were included to give flexibility for storage. Office / Study area. Towards the end of the kitchen a timber benchtop at table height was designed for the children to use computers and do their homework. Seating was designed with shallow drawers above to allow the area to be uncluttered. Above cabinets with under cabinet lighting were designed with a cork board and a white boards doors to make the area highly functional. Cooking Appliances. A visit to winning appliances at Crows Nest assisted greatly in the selection of suitable cooking products. Two ovens ( a 600 mm wide and a 900 mm wide) were incorporated into the kitchen with an integrated microwave. An induction cooktop and a rear ducted under cabinet range hood were chosen.
